Introdução à Válvula de Esfera de Ferro Fundido
Ball valve é uma válvula cujo elemento de fechamento é uma esfera perfurada. A esfera gira com a haste em torno de um eixo perpendicular ao escoamento, alinhando ou desalinhando o furo com a passagem para abrir ou fechar a tubulação. As válvulas de esfera são utilizadas principalmente para bloqueio rápido do fluxo em tubulações e equipamentos.

What is a ball valve used for?

Why are ball valves better than gate valves?
1 Quick operation: Ball valves only require a quarter turn (90 degrees) to fully open or close, and operation is quick and easy.

When to use a ball valve?
When it is necessary to quickly and reliably control the on/off of fluid flow, especially in high pressure, high temperature and corrosive environments and in applications that require minimum pressure drop, frequent operation and tight sealing, ball valves are an ideal choice and are widely used in industries such as oil and gas, chemical and petrochemical, water and wastewater treatment, HVAC, etc.
Can ball valves be used for throttling?
Although ball valves can be used for basic throttling, they are not suitable for precise flow control. They are best suited for on/off applications.
What are the advantages and disadvantages of ball valves?
