Lug Butterfly Valves

Lug butterfly valves have threaded lugs around the body, so each pipe flange is bolted to the valve separately. One side of the line can be removed while the valve stays in place, which is why lug valves are chosen for end-of-line service and for equipment that needs regular maintenance.
